Ingredients
โ 12 sticks of mozzarella cheese
โ 1 cup all-purpose flour
โ 2 large eggs
โ 2 cups breadcrumbs
โ 1 teaspoon garlic powder
โ 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
โ Salt and pepper to taste
โ Cooking spray
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the breaded mozzarella sticks in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390ยฐF (200ยฐC).
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the mozzarella sticks in a single layer.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Serve immediately for the best texture. You can also experiment with different seasonings in the breadcrumb mixture!
