Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup raw pumpkin seeds (cleaned and dried)
- 1–2 tsp avocado oil (or olive oil)
- ½ tsp sea salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp paprika (optional, for smoky flavor)
- Seasonings of choice (garlic powder, cinnamon sugar, chili powder, etc.)
Instructions
- Rinse pumpkin seeds in a colander, removing any pulp. Pat dry with paper towels and let air dry 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss dried seeds in a bowl with oil, salt, and desired seasonings. Mix well.
- Spread seeds in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket every 4–5 minutes.
- Watch carefully in the last few minutes to avoid burning.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Notes
- Dry seeds thoroughly for maximum crunch.
- Experiment with flavors: cinnamon sugar, garlic parmesan, chili lime.
- For oil-free, spray with cooking spray or skip oil entirely (may be slightly drier).
- Re-crisp seeds by reheating 2–3 minutes in the air fryer.
