Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for glazing)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Remove from the oven, let it rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce and parsley if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add some chopped jalapeños to the meat mixture.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

This meatloaf pairs well with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
