3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Sprinkle the baking powder and flour over the mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra twist, add nuts or swap some chocolate chips for peanut butter chips.
This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
