Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning, cooking until shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute.

4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.

5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For an extra kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.

Feel free to substitute the shrimp with chicken or your favorite protein.

This dish is best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
