Ingredients
– 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– ½ cup brown sugar
– 1 tsp baking powder
– ½ tsp baking soda
– ½ tsp salt
– ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– ¾ cup sour cream
– ½ cup mini chocolate chips
– ½ cup crushed pretzels
– 1 cup frosting (any flavor)
– Chocolate sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together the softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the sour cream and mix until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and crushed pretzels.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
- Once cooled, frost the cupcakes with your favorite frosting and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
Notes
For an extra kick, consider adding a pinch of sea salt on top of the frosting.
These cupcakes can be made a day in advance; just store them in an airtight container.
