Ingredients
– 1.5 lbs chicken thighs
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
– 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and salt.
2. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
4. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
5. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
6. Optional: Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the chicken before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
This recipe can also be baked in the oven at 400°F for about 25-30 minutes if you don’t have a grill.
