Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9ร13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the sliced apples gently into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
