Ingredients

- 1 package (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 package (12 oz) of mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds (optional)
- Mustard or ketchup for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the wide end of each triangle.
- Place one mini hot dog on the dough and roll it up starting from the wide end.
- Place rolled pigs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the pigs in a blanket.
- Sprinkle poppy seeds on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with mustard or ketchup for dipping.
Notes
These can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
