Ingredients
1 lb ground lamb or beef
2 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup carrots, diced
1 cup peas
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
4. Add ground meat, cook until browned.
5. Stir in diced carrots, peas, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
7. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.
8. Use a fork to create texture on the mashed potatoes.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with lentils or mushrooms.
