1. 1.5 lbs beef flank steak, sliced thinly
2. 4 cups broccoli florets
3. 1/2 cup soy sauce
4. 1/4 cup brown sugar
5. 2 tablespoons minced garlic
6. 1 tablespoon minced ginger
7. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
8. 2 tablespoons water
9. Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Stir to coat the beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add sesame oil to the sauce.
Feel free to adjust the amount of broccoli according to your preference.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
