🍓 Strawberry Compote

  • 1 cup chopped fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)

🍭 Coating

  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • Graham cracker crumbs (optional, for extra cheesecake flavor)
  • Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar + 2–3 tsp milk

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Dough

  • Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  • Add egg yolks, flour, salt, and mix until dough forms.

  • Knead in softened butter until smooth. Cover and rise 1–1.5 hours.

2️⃣ Prepare Fillings

  • Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add cream and beat until smooth. Chill for piping.

  • Simmer strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice for 10–15 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch if needed. Cool completely.

3️⃣ Shape & Fry Donuts

  • Roll out dough and cut into rounds. Let rise 30–45 minutes.

  • Heat oil to 350°F (180°C) and fry donuts 2–3 minutes per side. Drain and roll in sugar while warm.

4️⃣ Fill & Garnish
