Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
4 slices of bacon
4 slices of cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings
Salt and pepper to taste
Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Form the ground beef into four equal patties and season both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Cook the patties on the grill for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
4. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.
5. While the burgers are cooking, fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy.
6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about a minute, cut side down.
7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, adding bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Top with ketchup and mustard as desired, then place the top bun on.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding your favorite seasonings to the beef before forming patties.
Feel free to customize toppings to your liking, such as avocado or sautéed onions.
