Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
6 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
4 cups diced bread (preferably stale)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
4. Stir in the cooked sausage, diced bread, cheddar cheese, and green onions until well combined.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
This casserole can be prepared the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Just bake it in the morning for a quick breakfast option.
